Hi, I didn't know where to put this so seeing as it's attached to my filter I thought this is as good a place as any! I noticed yesterday that the temperature has dropped in my 220l tank. The eth is set to 25 deg but the thermometer was showing 23 yesterday and 22 this morning. I've put a spare heater in there temporarily to boost the temp, but my best guess as to why this has happened is that it needs cleaning. TBH I've been running it for 2 years and haven't cleaned it as I'm not sure how to go about it :? My water is quite hard so would there be an issue of limescale on the element? Is there a particular way to clean them or can I just run a pipe cleaner through it?

According to Hydor, just run a soft bottle cleaner through it, but do not soak the heater.
