What is the best/easiest/ cheapest way of getting co2 into the water with a DIY set up.

Just set it up with and airstone on the end so bubbling away nicely but probably not v. efficient. Saw this article:

This would suggest putting the co2 tube in the filter might be the way ahead (Have Juwel vision 180 with internal juwel filter). What do people think?

I use nano glass diffusor with my DIY setup, works pretty well.

Its one of these:

You can get them here (although I got 3 for that price from ebay long time ago):

Also have a couple of ladders but didn't find them very good.

Been looking at those kind of systems. found this

which seems to combine the ladder with the diffusion plate.

How much do you need to pay attention to the give volumes of use? Only reason thought about that one is that it is not much more expensive and would be useful if I want to upgrade in the future.

I tried putting the airstone at the bottom of the filter. seems to be effective as I didn't see any bubbles coming straight out, but this is a problem as well as I can't tell how well the co2 is functioning. Not sure whether it would affect the filter bacteria as well if they are in a higher co2 environment. Guess it shouldn't be too much of a problem if the pH doesn't alter drastically and they are getting enough o2.

That might not be suitable for DIY CO2, looks more suited for a presurized system. The nano stones are disigned with DIY in mind and they don't need a lot of pressure to realease the CO2 other stones do.

I purchased a Rhinox 2000 diffuser before only to find out its not compatible with DIY.

Hope that helps.
