small vessicles(blisters) are not uncommonly seen on koi as an unusual presentation to bacterial infection

    any other signs?

There wasnt but the little fella died yesterday evening. The tank is cures i think, its forever killing fish and I can only assume its the substrate as I always have diatom problems in there.

Shame :( I lost one to a bacterial infection a couple of months ago. Wish I'd treated the tank all the same cos I've got with it now, but he's on the mend. Worth thinking about

I thnk it was the manufactured black sand. I swear it was leeching something into the water that cased problems. I got rid of all the sand and am going for some natual rive gravle from AE so hopefully this is now a thing of the past.
