I thought i would have a go at colour popping, this is a photo i have had for ages so it wasnt intended for this hence why the tail is missing  , but i thought i might aswell have a practice ;)

I did it on gimp which is a free image editing software, and pretty similar to photoshop except not as advanced ;) downloaded due to someones advice on another thread, see here:

all in all i think it went pretty succesfull!

thanks, aaron :)

Not bad, i did the exact same thing yesterday except it wasnt of shrimps or fish, my friend Ali is a pro boxer, hope you like, i also did this on gimp, i love it its free.

Rather than desaturating certain colours like i did on the shrimp (except the red), i couldnt do it with this due to a number of colours. So this is how i did it (using GIMP)

1) open up your image
2) layer > new from visible
3) zoom in and erase the section you want to 'colour pop'
4) save image

I use Paint.net and Gimp as there are benifits to each.
