Complacency and summer = BBA

Hi Folks,
It’s been a while, my low tech has BBA; I’ve neglected maintenance; not water changes but detritus removal; the oak and beech leaves I introduced have been left to rot, plus my chunks of oak are pretty friable. Combined with high window light over summer my tank is a bit sad.
Not really looking for advice, after all the info’s all here! I’m going the natural route and keep plucking off badly affected leaves, siphon more detritus and water and hopefully the shorter days will do the rest. I am finding my plucking is reducing plant mass significantly so intend to add more fast growers too. I have some ramshorns and Amanos that might help if they’re in the mood. Any holes in the plan?
Hope everyone is well
Cheers

I always dose MgSo4....it won't do any harm as you can't overdose!
I have high calcium low magnesium in my tap water.
It's cheap....so why not.
