Is there any good reason not to use standard plumbers copper pipe to make custom lilly pipes etc?
I've read that copper is bad for fish and inverts, but AFAIK most domestic plumbing uses it, so most water in domestic aquariums has been through copper. Right?

Not a good idea to use copper for pipes in tank as the water will be going through it all the time so the Cu concentration of the water will increase over time. Where as copper pipes in the house the water passed through it once so limited time to increase the [Cu]

This would be my gut feeling too
