Correct moss position

Hello, I’m aware of the naivety of the question! But, does moss look more natural on the end upper surfaces of redwood branches or tucked in where the branches meet the main trunk? Many thanks for all advice-as setting a small tank up. Regards

I like it on the end of branches - where it possibly will also grow better - from not being "tucked"... I guess it's a matter of taste.
