I have this plant, but as a mature plant it doesnt seem very crimped, but still quite nice. I have retrospiralis too, but only a little, it is much thiner and it has crimped leaves.

The same Crypts can be notorious for looking different in various set-ups.
These are definitely producing some nice ruffled leaves.....now.

These can get massive. I sold some a few years back which were in the 60 - 80cm region ( they came out of a 125ltr tall
The leaves were the same markings as your first picture. maybe a little greener / less yellowy but did have the green into brown colouration. One day maybe I'll have a larger tank where I can fit them in as they were too much for my tanks:
