Cyanobacteria BGA Help Required Please

Hi all,
I think that's almost certainly the hardest water that I've ever come across!
John it will be that hard, out of the tap, for nearly every-one in SE England. The hardness is set by the solubility of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and that is dependent upon the amount of atmospheric CO2.

Any water that has been in contact with limestone, for any length of time other than the most fleeting, will be fully saturated with Ca++ and 2HCO3- ions and ~17dKH and 17dGH.

cheers Darrel
