Hi im looking to decorate the bottom of my tank with dead leaves, but cant seem to find fake ones anywhere. Im not too keen on cattapa because of the leaching considering id want a lot and it to last. Ive seen nice brownish orangey fake silk ones and ive heard that silk sinks. Any ideas?

Dried/dead oak leaves work fine and you can get bin bags full of them at the right time of year.

Boil them up for a few minutes to make them sink.

Every couple of months or so they may need changing as they decompose, but they're a plentiful free supply so the only issue is the maintenance aspect.
