Hi there,
I'm setting up a med-high light planted tank, C02, EI or DIY TPN+
I've been choosing equipment and plants for the last couple of weeks when I picked up my juwel rio 180.
I've decided to use tropica plant substrate as a 1cm base layer, and will probably go with Hagen Extra Fine Black River Gravel, which is 2-3mm. I'm just trying to figure out two things, 1) What's an ideal depth for this gravel, and 2) How much i'm going to need?
I can probably get a good idea using the 'Regular Gravel' option on the substrate calculator to get an approximate weight, but can anyone suggest a good depth?
Thanks very much,
Steve
