Are you using 4dkh water?

I had this problem last week and put it down to contamination.

Make sure you rinse you dc out properly and any thing that you use to fill it i.e. pipette or syringe.

I think I used my syringe for measuring some dechlor solution. Have labelled now so I know which one is for the 4dkh solution

Is this white film normal? It happened in about 2 or 3 days after installing it for the first time. The glass and reagent are from hong kong via ebay. The 4dkH solution is my own using baking soda.

i havent experienced it, but it looks like surface scum (excess proteins).
it occurs in low flow areas hence hwy you are getting it there,
it may affect your DC reaction time, so just remove it. not sure how you can fix the problem, because i havent heard or seen it before :!:
