Hey all, trying to get myself a cheap glass/ceramic diffuser for a pressurized system on a 120l tank. So far I've heard the rhinox types are the pick for budget diffusers, but i can only find the 1000 models. Would this work, or should I try and find a bigger one? Any other budget suggestions?

Cheers

If its this one you have seen it should be able for your tank as this one is to suit a 55 gal tank - or 260 l approx.

or these and you get a spare

Aquatic Magic (see sponsors) do the 2000 and 5000 versions.

Quite honestly Matt in my person opinion, the whole this diffuser is for XXX gals and that diffuser is for XXX gals, is a load of tat. I've used a nano, yes nano diffuser on my 250lt with no problems. For a 120lt I wouldn't want bigger than a rhinox 1000 anyway, bigger and it just looks ugly IMHO. The crucial thing about the diffuser is not what size it is but that where you place it and the resulting diffusion you achieve.

These would be more than enough :) and you get a spare ;)

All that said, if you have an external filter have you thought of using one of these?

Cheers for the advice guys, that certainly makes choosing things a lot easier.
Currently only have internal filters, but an external is pretty high up on the "to buy" list so will prob end up switching to an external reactor then.

Matt

Few threads for you to read regarding C02 diffuser / external reactors.
