Very nice project . I haven't seen this method used before, but looks like an ingenious way to get a clean, unobtrusive joint.
Thank you :) It's called silicon injection method. Needs some prep but the builds are solid, almost zero air bubbles. Even dismantling tanks is a lot easier.

May I ask how much this costs? Is it cheaper, or at least comparable to a store-bought tank?

I looked into trying to make my own tank a while back, but the glass always seemed so expensive - almost to the point it felt there would be no savings by making your won; not that savings was the entire premise for doing it, I actually think it would feel like quite an achievement to have your own hand made tank on show.

40000 INR : 436 GBP but I am in India, our variables will be so different it is unrealistic to compare. Yes it feels really good to build it. I have cheap top filters and have respectable 7/8 times water turnover (cichlid tank)
