Hi guys. Over the last few days I’ve purchased a new stand and hardscape for a DOOA Neo glass terra H36 and Wabi-kusa wall.
I took the tank to my lfs so I could have a play around with the hardscape.

wasn’t too sure what I wanted to do with it and found the challenge of having a the shallow section and wall a whole new experience

The tank will be lit with a chihiros vivid 2 which I’m still deciding how I will hang.

I’ve also ordered a DOOA mist flow
And will be buying 2 oase filtosmart 100’s for this tank, one is only needed but after speaking to someone that has one set up they found flow is not too good with one as the return goes to the top of the wall and trickles down, so one will be for the wall and another for the pond section.
I’m hoping to order ADA moss cotton and all plants/moss’s Over the next week.

here’s some pics of from yesterday at the lfs.

Yeah, the second arrangement Is better, really nice in fact. I’d just shift it right ever so slightly for maintenance ease and a bit more balance. I can’t wait to see it with plants.

i love these systems and have to agree i like number 2 the best, this will looks amazing once set up

Little update on the Dooa, ordered everything I need to set this up and over the last few days it’s felt like Christmas with new gifts (bought by myself tho 🤣) turning up.

36 Potts off moss and plants from my lfs crowders aquatics, I was hoping this would be enough!!!

Everything is here to make a start! Super excited

Wood glued, Ro water re-mineralised, and made a start on the wabi kusa matts, these are so time consuming mainly due to the fact I’m crap at getting thread through the eye of a needle 🤣 3am and falling asleep with no food, still in my work clothes and the house in a wreck this is how it stands

Also a little pic of a wabi kusa Matt

With this build progress is definitely a slow process! But a fun one!

As of last night, co2 up and running all wabi kusa matts done, lights on timer, filter up and running.....but....I ran out of moss 🤦‍♂️
So here’s a pic of how it stands now...until my moss i ordered turns up, Bruce’s add to lose water section and some crypt parts and mini hairgrass, still undecided to what else to add so suggestions welcome.

Thanks mate, yeah I love the DOOA stuff it’s all so nice, I’ve decided where the next ones going already lol

Bloody predictive text 🤣😂😀😂🤣 when you find Bruce tell him to get out

Small update on the DOOA, I was never really happy with the scape in this tank so decided to take the wood out as it was way overpowering and took attention away from the wall, replaced with some black lace rock I had laying around and just some smaller pieces of azalea root, also added the DOOA mist flow which I had bought a king time ago and completely for got about, here’s some updated pics 👍🏼

Looking great.
I much prefer the current layout, like you say the wood dominated and now you can see the lovely planted wall.
