Hi all,
I've been a lurker for awhile and finally decided to make and account as I can't seem to find an answer to the question I have. Hopefully I'll have some good results to share someday soon too!
I have a Fluval Flex 57L arriving this week and have a nice setup planned and everything in place to begin.
The tank will contain some RCS and a Betta which are being upgraded from their current 20L and so I plan, once established, on alternate dosing Tropica Specialised and Tropica Premium at 2ml per day with a weekly 50% water change. This is based on everything I have read to date and I think is a reasonable approach, open to critique though.
The problem I have is the initial cycling stages. I plan on doing a 50% change every 2 days for 2 weeks and then every three days for another 2 weeks while I establish the tank and get the plant growth going and nitrogen cycle started.
I'm not sure how I should dose during this time, should I stick with 2ml per day or up it due to the constant reset from water changes?
