Tank coming up to 3 weeks plants are growing and doing 50% water change daily. Was thinking of starting to dosing the tank with specialised nutrition.
But doing daily water changes I think it will just be a waist.
When should 1 start dosing?

@Brad123 I would have started dosing fertilizer on day 1 - after planting! your tank is coming along though. Not sure if doing 50% WC's every day! is overkill - I would usually just do 2-3 x 30-40% per week on a new tank (which may not be enough), but I don't know the pros and cons when running a CO2-injected tank. When you say "specialised nutrition" do you mean Tropica specialized nutrition?
Cheers,
Michael

I would have started 3 weeks ago when you first planted! Just because you are doing 50% daily water changes, saving money by not dosing food for the plants is a false economy.

:)
Just thought I would be taking it out every time I did a water change( well some of it). Will start dosing in the morning.

Yes it is tropica specialised nutrition. As for the 50% WC got into a habit of doing it every night will start to cutting it back to every second day have been thinking about it. Will start dosing in the morning.

@Brad123 I've had good experience with Tropica Specialized - I use it after each WC and premium mid-week. Yes, after 3-4 weeks you probably don't have to do more than a couple of large WC's per week depending on bio load, fertilizer regime etc. I am doing one 40-50% per week in my two moderately stocked, but heavily planted 150 liter low-tech tanks, but I used to do only 20% weekly WCs for many months (after the initial 2-3 times per week), and that just didn't cut it.

Cheers,
Michael

Daily water changes is not really necessary. A 2X or max 3X per week is good for the first 3-4 weeks and then once per week is the standard thereafter. As mentioned, with this scheme dosing after the water change makes more sense.
