Drawf hair grass - plant the plantlets and trim straight away or leave until established then trim. best method please.

I originally just cleaned the roots then planted them and had a few runners. But now ive just moved them over and again cleaned the roots but trimmed them. Trimming them encourages horizontal growth so its up to if your going to remove trimmings in the tank or just do it before.
