Hi Peeps.

On my 2000L sumped setup, Ive noticed that my drop checker is almost lime green BEFORE co2 on. Noticing this every day lately.

Anyone else had this happen?

Drop checker liquid changed, turned the lights on (with co2 off), and got some pearling. So I dont think its the measurement, it really looks like the co2 is not leaving the system overnight.

Thanks

add a big @ss airstone to run at lights out :)

I am considering that, but not sure if really needed. I could put one in the sump.

I mostly thought its weird. Ive never had tanks retain co2 over night.
Perhaps is something to do with the large size. Curious

Thanks
Fil

I have on my 50l tank DC is green before CO2 on, but it does go light yellowish when CO2 on.
I don't worry about it, RCS was fine in their and Otto.
Less CO2 to inject next photo period as long as [O2] are good esp at night

Same here. My DC never really goes blue, always dark green at CO2 on. Ph is at 7.6. Had my regulator not working for a few days this week due to leak and guess what, the DC went proper blue and ph jumped to 8.
My conclusion: CO2 doesn't really fully leave the system overnight.
