"Try to achieve your goal even if everyone says you can't, even if your path is in the opposite direction of the river"

I am always prepared to learn. I try to learn something new every day. There is no such thing as being in the hobby for 35/20/10 yrs and knowing everything. We must be open to learning, always.
So, learn, to be willing to learn. This is the main part of our hobby. Learn to be prepared to learn.

So many setup low tech or high tech tanks, the most important thing in them is CO2, which plays such an important role. Without CO2, your plants can't take in the fertilizers efficiently, so the fertilizers stay leftover. If there is a lack of CO2 in the tank, the plants won't be able to efficiently absorb fertilizers and light.

Then the algae will take the chance and take the fertilizers, helping it grow. Plants take in CO2 and convert it into glucose and oxygen this is photosynthesis. If there is no CO2 then the oxygen levels in the tank will be low too. So the fish and shrimp will not be able to stay happy.

So as much as oxygen is necessary for us to breathe, that much the plants need CO2. So, similarly, CO2 is important for plants. If there is no CO2 then there are chances of algae growing. If you are using a substrate with fewer nutrients, then the plants won't grow, so basic nutrients are required, always.

Pressurized co2 plays the best role to keep healthy nature tanks. However, you have to get quality equipment for the long run. Cheap will work short period and you will buy again & again. So always go with quality.
