For the BBA lovers

For me it looks like the rocky horror picture show. With plants. 😉
Please don`t grill me for this statement.

I have nightmares about BBA
Had an experience with BBA. A piece of wood branch was in the direct path of my filter outlet, and BBA started to grow on it prolifically. I moved the branch out of the way, and the BBA discoloured and died in a week.

I was thinking, "Blimey, that was easy!"

Same for me, I usually only get visible BBA where <"there is plenty of flow"> - <"Algae after vacation ! Need to revive">.
Not my tank... am I responsible if the guys that received it from me didn't take my advice?
I <"quite like"> the contrast between the Green Spot Algae and the imperial purple BBA, although I understand that this might be a <"minority view">.

Not so sure about the single dreadlock on the left, but they could work on it?

I love the "swirl" in the algae, it looks look the green fluorescent hair you got on <"troll dolls"> in the 1980's. Thinking outside the box, maybe we have seen the future of aquascaping, first challenge is to grow lots of green filamentous algae and then tonsure into corn rows?

You are fine.

UKAPS is full of cultural references <"The scientific background to the "Leaf Colour Chart"">, <"calling ceg4048"> & <"Stupid lightning question">.

Personally? From now on my <"morning routine"> will have changed to include some enthusiastic dancing to the <"Time Warp (song) - Wikipedia">*

Ha, love it.

I am moderately considering a micro algae tank. I'm sure there's something cool that can be done, but I bet it would actually be harder to get algae growing in expected places than with plants. I would love to see micro algae competition tank

I think you are <"probably right">. Several people have grown, <"really unusual">, algae accidently <"Taiwan Bee not so nano">.

I really like these <"What's the science behind this back glass algae?">, <"is it weird to actually like some algae?">& <"Awesome algae! What is this?">
I would love to see micro algae competition tank
BBA would be a tricky one for this, as we don't really know what causes it to grow and it could <"just mysteriously detach">. There are some other <"gorgeous Red Algae">, but I don't know if they suffer from "mysterious detach" in the same manner.

what was your advice? 😀
Well, probably you should sometimes do water changes, especially given that you are planning to overstock by quite a margin, with not recommended fish, in a small tank with a tiny stock filter. Also 27degc is not a good move.

I mean, I'm no guru...

Though tbf I ran that tank with a baffle on the HOB which possibly would have helped with BBA to leave on

I wish it was always that easy with BBA 😁
