Forest and ponds

Today I went for a bit of a walk through a local forest.
Took a few photos and thought I should share them with you guys.

Hey,

Thanks for sharing your pictures. I thought the pictures look state side. But looking at your info,its New Zealand. They all have great potential.
The best shot is the barbed wire. You could do with a bit more depth in your dark and highlights. Just upping the contrast could make more of an impact.

The other shots just need a bit more composition, i.e the last photo, the cutting off of the leaves doesnt help the picture, even though the shot is clean and has a nice angle.

Love the subject, just needs a bit more focus on your composition.

I hope you dont think im nit picking. I just say what I see. I dont mean to offend.

No offence taken at all Graeme. In fact I like criticism as it helps me learn where I went wrong.

Im a bit peed off with myself with the last one. I took several but that one was the best except that I cut the leaf off. The rest are not cut but are not right in other ways.
I need to learn not to take my nephew out with me when I go walking with the camera. He rushes me all the time(he is 7) and I dont spend as much time as I need to with the camera.
