Just thought I would share this. My daughter started a new job in March after working for her previous firm for 10 years after leaving university
Because she was in training she cant work from home but was told she would be furloughed even though she didn't start till March.Weeks in the company said she couldnt be furloughed because of her new to the company and the Feb cut off date. She wondered why she was told she would be furloughed in the first place.?Unable to get clarity she emailed her MP and within 2 hours she had a reply "your are entitled to go back to your previous firm and ask for furlough or redundancy. "She did and told yes what did she want furlough or redundancy! Amazing result .Then when she informed the new company they changed tack and found reduced hours on full pay. May help or not but worth a try anyone in a similar position
