Good shops close to M5/M6?

Hi all,

I'm driving from Edinburgh down to Cornwall over the next two days, and thought it could be fun to drop in at decent fish shops instead of motorway services for breaks.

I'm aware of Aquajardin Gloucester being close to the motorway, but was after any other suggestions for places within easy striking distance of the M5/M6.

Cheers

Yeah was eyeing up TGM but think my long suffering girlfriend would finally slap* if I took her on a detour all the way to Wrexham

*typo, was meant to be snap, but actually slap seems more likely now I think about it...

Last time I was down near London for a wedding I tried so hard to get the sat nav to "accidentally" take me 30minutes away from Wrexham but the girlfriend was having none of it.

Saying that the journey down three days before had turned into a 14 hour, two motorway closures in one trip, nightmare. So I could possibly see her point about not making the trip back to the Burgh any longer then needed! :D

Tom,

You could try Shirley Aquatics. address below. Easy link between the M6 and M5. They also have a little rest room and tea room if required, nothing fancy though. A fairly large store, ideal for browsing.

1355 Stratford Rd
Monkspath, Shirley
Solihull
West Midlands
B90 4EF

There is also a Maidenhead aquatics store, couple hundred yards down the same road (where the tesco is) A small store, not great though, but if you in the area - could really pop in. address below

Notcutts Garden Centre, Stratford Rd Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands B90 4EN

*****Edit - Just checked the date of the OP, oops.....guess this trip is already long over - sorry :) *******
