Growing temperatures

I have a few plant cuttings that i've put into pots. They've gone into a small bare aquarium which has no heating. The water temp is around 10-15 deg C as the tank is in the conservatory.

How long will the plants survive in those conditions ?. They have plenty of light but no heat and only potting compost for fertilizer.

I might be able to get a heater next weekend if that would help.

The plants are

Hygro. Polysperma 'rosanervig'
red spatterdock
Sagittaria nantans
Heteranthera zosterifolia
Pogostemon helferi

Any help would be most welcome

Andy

Hi Andy,
Higher temperatures translate to higher growth rates. These are tropical plants so a 10-15 deg C water temperature may be OK from a survival standpoint, growth will not be as good. A heater would help in this regard.

Cheers,
