So this is how I picture planting my new setup:
scape-1.jpg

ie
Spiky moss and M.pteropus "narrow" on the wood, an Echinodorus uruguayensis in the corner behind the wood, staurogyne around the base of the wood and a hairgrass carpet

However my quandry is this: the right hand side seems awful bare if I only have it as a hairgrass carpet, yet I'm a loss as what to do in the corner.

So suggestions are what I'm after, bearing in mind I'm on a reasonably tight budget
I'm a complete newbie when it comes to aquascaping, so be gentle with me, lol

Thanks in advance
Joe

I agree with Neil. An area of just grass with fish swimming ove rit could work well. Sometimes less is more. If you feel like you need to add some interest you could always add clumps of E. acicularis or E. parvula.
