Hi,

Sorry, not sure if this is the right forum for this or not? (sorry mods!)

Mt tank is currently set up like this: It grows very quickly and needs to be constantly trimmed to keep in check. I'm moving house in two weeks and my first baby is due in six, so I'm not going to have the time to do this.

So....what I'm after is suggestions on what to plant in there instead to keep the tank looking nice, but not requiring the regular pruning.

Any suggestions on plant choice or 'scape setting up welcomed! :)

Cheers,

Steve

firstly Steve, your tank currently looks great.

the hydracotle looks immense.

great plants which don't require much attention are...

crypt sp.
ferns
moss

now i remember one famous aquascaper, namely amano, saying if a tank is to be kept for a long period of time, the idea of putting stems within would be dismissed. they limit the life span and up the work rate.

foreground plants can be of the fast varieties, such a s e tennelus.

another thing you could do is lower your lighting to get much slower growth. 8)
