Hi,

This is my first planted tank experience. I have a drift wood in my tank but it seems to be having some molds. I have been trying to scrape it and do water change, but this keeps coming back after a few days, its been about two months now I guess. Still no sight of it going away.

What is this? What should I do? I still have no fish in my tank. Can I add some fish whihc could eat this? I wanted to get my driftwood planted, would that help? I started this tank on dry start, and I am happy with the plant growth(only have one, I want to get the driftwood planted too)

Please help.

Regards,
B

I got this from an aquarium shop. Since it was big I couldn't boil it, But I kept it submerged for over a month, never saw the mold any time then. Used to keep it out in the Dubai sun :) and it was really hot.

I had worse on my driftwood after I flooded, when tank was cycled in went the Amanos few weeks later all mould gone, never seen it again. Did put a lot of Amanos in, got them at a great price as Local Fish shop had them miss labeled.

Ok will try to add some livestock, hope it will help. Amanos any other suggestions?
