Further to earlier questions about the Monte Carlo carpet (or whatever it is), time and health has been my enemy recently and things have gone no further. The damp aqua soil remains in the tank and the carpet is trundling along emersed without much help.

BUT now the damp aqua soil is going mouldy (as per photo).

Do i R.I.P. it out and dry it till I’m ready, or submerse it under shallow water? Or something else?

I have a couple of days free so would welcome your comments.

Never been in your situation, but as a guess, I'd scoop out the nasty bits and then stick an inch of water in. I'm sure someone will have a more informed answer.

Ah ok, I assumed it may have been kept in air tight, humid conditions, nevermind
I assumed it was wet enough not to go mouldy but it seems it was just at that point of humidity where it did but definitely not enclosed.
