Not my favourite bird ! a few years ago i had a visit from a heron . I had just done a major revamp of my pond and had nipped out to get some new baskets and liners for the plants, i was out for approximately an hour, on my return i was puzzled as to where my fish were hiding, on closer inspection i could see fish scales on the bottom of the pond :( as i got up to go back in the house i saw a heron sat on a neighbours roof looking straight at me , then it dawned on me, i shouted over to it that i hoped it had enjoyed it's meal:mad: it had eaten 6 large gold fish which i had had for several years , the cheeky thing had the nerve to come back the next day , eyeing up the pond from the neighbours roof again. I can't repeat what i shouted to it:rolleyes:
