heteranthera zosterifolia growth question

I've had this in one of my aquariums for about 6 months, non co2. It 'pearls' well, and sends out a lot of runners, but for me it doesn't grow tall, it's all about 4 inches high, and has been for months. Is this usual? Most images I've seen of it shows the plant well over 8 inches high and I'd like mine to get to that height too

No, it is not the usual growth of this plant. It tends to grow "ooverhanging"" and spreading but still building growth upwards too.
It may be, that you have so strong light, that it choses to spread rather than grow upwards - but this is just a guess.
