Hello, i made a small tank with aquatic compost and qwartz, no filter, no co2, no pump, no movement at all, how can plant and bacteria can grow without oxygen ?

is there even co2 in there without movement ? thx

Yes... :) There will always be movement in the water by temperature differences, doesn't matter how tiny they are warmer water will rise colder water will lower due to less mass by density. At the water surface, there will always be gas exchange with oxygen and Co² etc. depending on temperature this will follow a natural equilibrium. Bacteria always will be present no matter what the conditions are... They are the oldest and hardiest creatures on the planet... :)

I have a wooden tub in the garden filled with water and that's it.. It contains a water lily and Potamogeton and mosses and algae etc. Never do anything but clean it out once a year, not even a drop of fertilizer... And it booms with growth every year always again and again.

Tho mind how smaller the water volume is the more difficult it is to get it to go long term...
