How much should i aim for for a 30x15x20 cm and a 60x30x35 cm?
If you're going fully planted (which I guess you are as this is a plant forum lol), then aim for 10 times the volume at least.
This will be reduced when you add media and the hoses, so don't be afraid to aim for 15 times turnover or more.
Yeh providing the fish can cope and you're not literally blowing plants and substrate around the tank, the more turnover the better really. I've got a 1000lph (that's the rated turn over don't forget) filter running on my 30x30x60cm 60lt tank.
The 10x guideline takes into account the filter reduction.
I find for small tanks such as yours, i go for 10x, but on larger tanks where it is harder to distribute the flow evenly, aiming for 15-20x is more efficient.
