My Ludwigia Palustris is growing well and looking great, but it's got loads of little white aerial roots coming down from the lower half of the stem. They're really ugly. Is there any way to prevent them from growing? I don't want to have to uproot all the plants just to snip off the shoots

Hi Sacha,
It's how they grow:).
If I want them to look better I trim them shorter to make them really bushy. The bottoms don't have to be uprooted every time and will bush out readily.

Hmm ok thanks Harry. So to get rid of the aerial roots, you just cut the plant really low down?

Cut the roots off individually. Stems grow aerial roots. That\s just what they do. The faster they grow the more roots they send out.

Cheers,
