Picked up a Hydor Green NRG exclusive CO2 unit yesterday for a good price, was wondering if anyone has any experience of these and if any other CO2 bottles can be used or if its just the hydor ones???

    Cheers

They are ok, but unfortuntaly they are expensive to run as the replacement cylinders are around 15quid each and only last a few days. The trouble with this system in that the makers don't realise that you actually need more co2 than they think, so the cylinder isn't nearly big enough. You could get a 500g jbl system for a similar price. Hell you could DIY a system using an FE for the same price.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad news.

Give me 2 weeks and I'll take it. Gotta wait to see if I've got my new job. Don't go selling it to anyone else.
