hydor prime

can i use a hydor prime 30, which is rated at 900lph on a tank thats 40 litres.

my thinking is that it will go about a metre below the tank and filters normally only put out half of their stated output so it will probably put out 400-500lph?

am i correct will that be fine or will i have a whilpool?

It'd be fine I use 1200lph on a 54l tank with no worries.
