Hi guys,

yesterday I started to plants and fill my tank with water, I did everything to make my hardscape is solid but sadly when I was filling the tank everything was falling, this is the hardscape before :

and now :

As you can see there is no more sand in the front and the powersand is now more mixed with the soil.
Ps : the little white stone is there just to make sure the wood doesn’t float just for a few days.

I was force to put an another stone behind the wood at the left, and now I feel like the hardscape lost his balance and charm do you think I can do anything to « recover » a bit of that mess ?

I'd recommend using a gravel with a bigger grain size to make the transition from substrate to sand, that sand looks way too fine to stay on top of the substrate.

I'd take it apart and fix it, you'll never enjoy it knowing it didnt go as planned.

Alright, but if I restart from zero what I'm gonna do with the soil that is now mixed ? How can I preserve the plants ?

Looks like you can still suck out the substrate separately with a hose since there are layers. As for the plants you just set them aside, keep them moist, and replant them as soon as you get your soil sorted out.

I’d also suggest adding more plants from the start, especially if you want that foreground to carpet soon (which helps slow down the soil movement)

When layering sand over soil, use of Powder Soil helps keep the sand from slipping between the soil particles
(Powder Soil tends to pack more closely)
