Have just seen a thread- like worm in my planted tank, any advice on what it is and how to get rid of please?looked like a thick piece of dark thread that swam up from gravel.thanks.
Planaria is the most common one that pops up so that's the first I'd rule out but they are lots of worms which are indistinguible from each other without a picture.
I've got some sort of earthworm (jim) living in my tank, must have been in the tropica soil. It's a purple-ish colour and is a decent size, i guess he/she is aerating the substrate for me.
I've used a few different meds in the tank to treat any fish ailments that have come up and it's survived all of them so far.
