I've just set up an 18L, its footprint is very small at 20x30cm. I have a pat mini sponge filter on it's lowest setting and fixed an L bend on it so flow goes across the middle of the tank. I wanted the actual filter on the back wall. I'd also like some surface agitation so will add an air stone.
My question is, where best to place the air stone in relation to the sponge filter? Because the footprint is so small, could the draw to the air stone interfere with the draw to the filter if put too close or in the wrong place?
