I went into my local MA shop over lunch and they had some fish labeled glass red tail tetra, but no Latin name. A Google search didn't find much, but I think I have narrowed it down to this fish

Anyone know anything about these? Jeremy? They weren't cheap at 3 for £19 but seem interesting. Seem to be of the genus Heterocharax.

    Cheers

Can't help you - they're very pretty though!

Let us know how they get on if you get them.

PS Did the shop only have three? It's a bit low for a shoaling fish isn't it?

Oh no, they had lots, just that the deal they were doing was 3 for £19. I would probably get 11 or so, see if I can haggle some money off. According to PFK they are from Peru.
