how reasonable is it to create an iwagumi scape using ONLY dwarf riccia?
would it be at all effective?

completely reasonable, but IMO it may look a little 2D. extra plant varieties will add layers and also create a sense of depth. for sure amano has created amazing scapes with riccia, but he also uses a couple of other plants to compliment it.

2006 ADA Gallery 03 was meant to be a glosso and riccia iwagumi, but the riccia overpowered the glosso and covered the whole substrate on a 6ft x 2ft tank... looks nice too.

thanks :)
Maybe some hc on the rocks? (sounds like a coctail lol) and p helferie dotted around the rocks also?
im really new to the whole structured scape thing, any ideas will be much apreciated :D
