Hi, The java ferns are not a pleasure to see: there are long hairy brown growthes and also an acumilation of a dust like matter on stems.
The annubias also has the dusty matter and appears to have some Hairy algae.

I have not added fertilizer for over a month. Is it that there is too much light? Or is there something else at fault, besides my lack of knowledge :(

Can't see the pic/image :(
More details would be helpful like tank size, filtration, lights substrate and a good pic OFC.
But no ferts may not be the best method dependant on what substrate you have, I'm assuming your low tech in no CO2 injection.
What clean up crew do you have ? Snails/shrimp/algae eaters?

If they are roots they have not sproiuted any leaves. I have java fern in other tanks.

I can see small leaves in the centre of the photo... java fern do this after a period of stress e.g. change in water conditions. The first java fern I bought did the same and all died off... except for the baby plants.
