Hi,is it ok to leave microsorum pteropus on the mat comes on to make a feature and place the mat on the substrate or does it have to be seperated from the pad to grow well.thank you

Sorry Kezzab cant do pictures,its the coconut mat/pad that java fern is grown on andcomes on,when you buy a1/2 mat or mat,

I think I've seen what you mean on Amazon.

I think you can do either. Keep it on the mat and place the mat where you want it, but don't let substrate cover the rhizome. It will grow and spr3ad off the mat over time.

Or remove it from the mat and tie it/stick it it where you like, just try to do.minimal damage to the rhizome if you do.
