Ive just brought some JML Co2 test refill and opened it up to find out its bright yellow like the API master test PH kit hagen have also discontinued there PH bromo blue test so were do we get this stuff from?

Aqua essentials are sending me a premixed bottle of 4dkh but I would like to use the 4dkh without the bromo blue added aswell what test kits is this stuff in now?

Shouldn't it be yellow / orange until added to 4DKH then it goes blue.

Well I have some hagen stuff PH 6.0-7.6 and it dark blue out the bottle and stays blue when droped into 4dkh! Yet the new JBL stuff is orange yellow out the bottle but goes to blue when droped into 4dkh!

I aint a clue which is correct now!

I use the Hagen low pH test kit, which is Bromo blue. It should be blue when added to 4dKH water, and turn green to yellow, according to CO2 requirements.

I have been using Red Sea version ph fluid in my drop checker which is yellow, I recently bought some pre-mixed 4DKH solution with the Bromo already in. Due to my DC I was getting very faint readings so I contacted the supplier (AE) and asked if I could use a drop of my Red Sea fluid to improve the colouration who informed me that the two should not be mixed, either use the bromo or the yellow. I know nothing of the make up of the yellow chemical just quoting some advice from someone who knows.

I bought these DC which included the co2 reagent

The bottle of fliud that arrived was not the same as in the picture - initially the colouration of the fliud in the little bottle is green - but when the fliud is mixed with 4dkh solution is does turn blue in colouration. Once added to the tank it does turn green / yellow on detection of co2 within the water column slowly. I have also used Cal Aqua solution which is pre mixed and is blue in its colouration and this changes colour very quickly - 10 mins out of the tank and it back to being blue from being greeny yellow.
