JBL Regulator!

Hi Everyone
I purchased the above regulator a few years back from a member.
There was an attached adapter, which I removed.
I wish to use this regulator on Disposable Co2 bottles!

I noticed there was a grove inside the reg, running up the threads is this normally on a JBL regulator?
I can't remember seeing this before!

I have a JBL regulator and I’m pretty sure mine doesn’t have that. I’ll check next time I change the bottle.

It doesn't seem to be tampered with or modified.

Guess the groove might be there by design to let the CO2 escape, if you get some ourgassing from the bottle as you unscrew?
