JBL U001 on fire extinguisher

Hi,

I want to go fire extinguisher on the jbl u001 reg.

is this possible in I just get an adaptor.

Yep, I believe aqua essentials used to sell the adapter. Not sure I they still do but someone will.

Hi.. I'm in the same boat and want to move to using an FE for co2, but as I own JBL U001 ideally I'd just like a connector. I found this http://www.swelluk.com/aquarium/co2-and ... googlebase but it doesn't specifically say it's for an FE, are FE's and re-fills the same size?

Yeah mate, wont say for FE cos they wouldn't 'recommend' using an FE.

But this converts it to fit all canisters and the M001 fits FE's fine I believe buddy.

This is the connector am i going to buy in the next two weeks and get a fire extinguisher, as i am quite sure it fits FE's.

Well hope it does. When i get it i will update the post but it will be a week or two.

Do you know what bad things can happen if you use this reg for FE. ie what happens if the reg fails.
