juwel high light tubes - replacable

i am going to upgrade my lighting system i have a a juwel rio 125 with the standard t8 bulbs
i am thinking of gettin the high light system for juwel rio 125
i was wondering if i could use any standard 60cm t5 bulbs because juwel sell theyre own t5 bulbs for the high lite system that are very expensive however standard 600mm t5 are 24watt whereas 600mm juwel t5s are 28watt

anyone had any experience with these

The Jewel onesa are non-standard sizes. I think a few other aquatic companies are making them in the same sizes but not large commercial ones. However apart from that the units are really good IMHO. I like the ones on my Rio 180 and with good reflectors there is enough light for glosso carpets and all!

ime gonna get an arcadia i bar because i can try different t5 bulbs and get a nice combo and theyre cheaper

Both Sera and Arcadia make tubes which fit the Juwel Hi-Lite unit

Arcadia do a plant pro tube specifically for Juwel tanks, called the J5 plant pro
