Hi,

I have a Fluval Osaka 155 litre aqaurium (see pics in the gallery section) and I'm tempted to get a Juwel Rekord 800 Aquarium. I would take the filter out and use an external which i have stored in the loft. It's 80 x 35 x 45cm & has 2 x 18 W T8 tubes. I plan to use only easy carbo for C02 and keep crypts, java fern & a few other easy plants.

Do you think this will work? Is it enough light?

Thanks,
Russ :D

Yea, the light is pretty good, what i'd be tempted to do though is to swap the bulbs for T6's from aqua essentials, 40% more light then.

If you were getting one second hand then I would say yes, but I've heard that they can have problems with the lighting hood. I dont see the point in buying a new aquarium and then cut out the filter.

I have a Juwel 800 and haven't had anyone problems with it as yet, but only had it 9months.
