Hi everyone,

First time aquascaper here: I've ordered a mixed set of 'classic nature' plants from Aquarium Gardens and they're due to arrive on Friday (crossing my fingers that they show up!)

Aquarium Gardens weren't picking up the phone today so I couldn't ask: how do I store a set of mixed plants over Friday night before planting on Saturday? Do I just put them in a bucket with a heater in? Or leave packaged as they arrive? Don't want to get it wrong having spent £70 :) Thanks!!

Hi,

Guess the shop was busy, leave a message and the shop will call back.

Plants will be fine for a night. Just keep them in a cool room. Any longer and spray them to keep them damp.:)

ps. You could spray them upon receipt, will only help!

Take my advice and do not EVER leave them in a bucket with a heater. Mine failed and overheated, melting many of my plants. In such a small space as a 5 gallon bucket, it happens very quickly before you realize.
