Hi All,

I've bought 2 sets of these LED's from Ikea, which gives me 42" either side for my lighting unit.
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00202324/

Would these be sufficient to grow low light aquarium plants?
I have a Jewel Rio 240l Aquarium, currently using 2 X 54W 1047mm Arcadia J5 Plant pro.
Using C02 and Ei dosing 25ml daily.

Assistance gratefully appreciated.

Billy

Hi,
Should be fine. If there is enough light for you to see the plants then there is enough light to grow them.

Cheers,

Thanks Ceg, I'm going to give it a try for several weeks an monitor the growth.

I have grown with great results with just little green spot algae on my anubias, with T5s 54watt plant pro.

Thought I would try these LEDs and see what happens.

Thanks again Ceg.

Billy

your link seems to indicate the LED strip is a warm white at 2700k, rather go for cool while which is closer to 6500k..
